Default Headlight Help

I have the dual bulb headlight (67864-04A) in my 04 FLHT.
I been reading about HID upgrades. DDM Tuning shows kits
but don't know if the HID bulb will work for the low beam
with the little hood that is in front of the stock bulb. Anybody
do a HID upgrade on this dual bulb headlight? I got the
headlight apart and don't want to put it back together until
I figure out what I'm going to do. Started out looking just
for a bulb but looks like HID might be the way to go.

Thanks, Jim

The HID technology is being quickly overcome by LEDs. Trucklight has an LED headlight now for about $300 but it is about 6 in. in diameter. I`d recomend waiting and investing in LEDs. JMO

Thanks for the advice, but cost is a factor for me right now
and the HID seems very economical . Money is a little tight.
