09 for sure, best frame the moco has made yet

 

Just do the right and easy thing and go for the RKC

 

NEWS FLASH: Get the '09. I've had a bunch of them over many years and the new '10 Road King I got today is the best one yet. I loved my '08 Glide but it would not hold a candle to this one!

 

Go for the 08 anniversary. It's got the ABS and the other two don't. The frame change is good to some, but too stiff to others. JMO.

 

Best advice yet! Check the KBB book, the 08 is worth more than the others, plus it has ABS...that's important in today's world. I had an 09 EGC, put 13,500 miles on it. All the hype about the new 09 frames is over blown. I like my 08 better. To me it handles better through the tight turns and is just as stable. I didn't like the crossover pipe running underneath. left the left side unbalanced looking. Ride them all and you decide, it's your money. JMO

 

One other overlooked and possibly minor change though not to some is that the rider footboards are fixed beginning with the '09 models whereas on the '08 and earlier models they had 1/2" of vertical adjustment.

Is there any way you can ride both of them? The 09's had substantial changes and really do ride better, but if you're happy with the 08, then go for it. There's certainly nothing wrong with it, and the ABS is a wise choice in my opinion.

I'd go for the '09. I have a '91 , but bought an '09 ULTRA last Aug. Handles much better. I do like the idea of the ABS on the other one though, but I'd still go for the '09.
