Default J&P Cycles is Sellig the Dunlop 407's!

I just received a catalog from J&P cycles. It is not the big one but a small one "OUR BEST SELLING PARTS AND ACCESSORIES".

In it they have the new Dunlop American Elites. Front $134.99 and rear $186.99.

On the same page they have the Dunlop 407's. Front $181.99 and rear $246.99.

I wrote to J&P letting them know that these tires were garbage and how disappoited I was to see them selling these defective tires.

If you get a chance send them an email letting them know that these tires are garbage and that they should be ashamed of themselves for selling this trash.

LOL

They probably bought up all the unsold 'stock' of D407's. J&P used to be an okay place to shop, but they've gotten too greedy IMO. About the only thing I buy from 'em now, is Bike Bright, and I only buy they when up in Sturgis.

I guess I'm in the minority, I think the oem tires have been pretty darn good, over 10k and I think I'm still good for a couple more thousand, I never got over 10 out of the metzlers on my honda.

My front was still good at 10k but by 13k they were cupping, vibrating and noisy but still had plenty of tread. HD replaced it N/C.

The 407F was junk. It pitted with in 5,000 miles and was down to the wear bar in 8,000 but just in some parts. It rode bad.
I'm still with holding judgment on the replacement 408F for a few more miles. I'm at 14,500 miles and still not too sure about them both. Looks like I need to look for a rear now.
