Default Lidgear Lid Organizers Just Installed

I have been looking for something to keep some things organized in my hard bags on my 2009 SG. Right now I have some change, pack of gum, sun glass case, etc. just laying in the bottom of my bags.

I started looking around and found the HD lid organizers and the Lidgear lid organizers. I didn't really care for the way the HD ones mounted with tape to the inside of the lid and the cost of $80.

Well I ended up going with the Lidgear brand and bought the whole set off of Ebay that included lid organizer, tool organizer and (2) bags pouches for $55 with free shipping.

I searched the forum before purchasing and didn't see any reviews on these. But did find one post that people were worried about the weight of the tool organizer on the lids.

I just got these in the mail today and will be installing soon. They replace your factory bag teathers but use the factory metal support strips. Longer replacement fasteners are included if you use the bag pouches. All can be purchased separate from www.lidgearonline.com but the website charges for shipping.

Here are some pics from my iPhone (not a very good camera). I will post more pictures of the install and any comments.

Plus they are made in the good old USA!

Now that's a good idea. You say you got them from Ebay, was it a certain ebay store? Thanks for the post.

I have those they work great. Harley has something similar to replace the tethers.

I also have the lid organizers. Agreed, the tape sucks. Even the 3M I remounted them with.
The only thing I have in those is my tire gauge, air pump and a light, wind up LED flashlight. These won't fit in teh lid organizers.

For a total of $55 shipped you get the lid organizer, tool organizer and two pouches.

Here is the link from eBay that I purchased from. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lid-G...Q5fAccessories

These came directly from the manufacturer and you don't pay the shipping that they charge on their website.
