Could it be wearing polorized sunglasses is the problem?
I cant see the display on my cell phone with mine.
Just a thought.

I'll be awaiting your test. Please let me know if it helps. I tried something similar on my 01 rg w/sony. Didn't really help but that one showed up a little better than this one. Looks like the marine unit may be only option. I just hate that silver faceplate...
