Default Newer bagger, same old transmission noise

Thinking of upgrading to an 07 Ultra. What bothers me is the slop in the transmission when shifting. After a hundred years of building bikes can't they sneek over to Baker and steal their secret? I'd much rather hear a click vs a " clunk ". Sounds like the whole darn thing is starting to fall apart... with my luck several hundred miles from home. I know, I know... just wear ear plugs. Seriously...is there a fix or is this the sign of something serious. This 07 has roughly 15k for miles.

Since there havent been any transmission failures due to clunk or whine, you'll be OK.

Just pour in the Redline!

most of the noises and sloppiness can be reduced a bunch by using the right fluids in the trans and primary. i'm using royal purple 75-140 in the trans and 20-50 royal purple in the primary. although when i find a source for redline shock proof heavy, it's going into my trans as well as atf in the primary. i'll take the clunk of a harley rather than the click of a goldwing or roadliner any day of the week, thanks anyway.
