Will do asap but it has not stopped raining long enough to get pics. Besides, I have not been in much of a picture taking mood lately dealing with FBI customer service and tech line.

I am still having the issues of the turn signals not self canceling (I can deal with) but the major issue is that under hard accelleration the motor dies and the word "tip" flashes on the dash. FBI tech first question was "did we install it?" I said no, I did. Their reply "oooohhh uhhh hhhuuhhhh" All of a sudden I am nobody. They keep insisting I did something wrong but can not tell me what. I even went as far as removing the entire drop kit yesterday and reinstalling it. The problem is still here folks!

I am sure if I go crazy enough, I can get them to refund the cost od the kit but no.1, I don't want to get rid of it and no.2, then I would be out the cost of painting the side panels as well as getting my old stock ones painted to match the new paint scheme.

And the story of my life continues...

I installed the FBI wide tire kit and I had to go through quite a bit of coniptions to get the job completed. FBI is not very good in their instruction sheets. Some things are left unmentioned in the instructions which is usually where the customer install gets messed up. The thing will work, but you just have to have the mindset of an FBI installer who has done it quite a few times.

Sorry to hear of your problems, Fairplay. I would suggest you talk directly to Gary Chipp. His email is gary@fatbaggers.com . He may be able to help you. I've emailed him before when I wanted to buy just parts of their wide tire kits and he was very helpful. Might need to go to the boss so he can push his employees in the right direction. Hope you can get this fixed, cause you bike is too nice to have this thing wrong.
Jerry
PS I just saw online that ChopperCycle is making a kit that looks just like the FBI kit, except they use a Corbin seat and the side panels are different. Look here:

Just heard from the tech at FBI. He has clued in Gary the owner and the official response is ..."we are working on it". In the mean time I need to find out how to test the TSM. Perhaps by fluke it took a crap while I was doing the install. We will see.

In the mean time I was able to get some full body shots for you. Sorry, none with me on it yet but all in due time.

update-
took the scoot to dealer, explained everything. they willingly put the bike on a scan and came up with no codes. The tech agreed thet the problem was in the TSSM. He said the only thing to do is to replace it and try it. I would have to buy the NON RETURNABLE part and then pay them to install it and program it. If that was not the problem then I am out a couple hundo and still right where I was. FBI still has nothing to say.

Other than replace the TSSM, the dealer will not touch anything elsa. They reminded me of this quite firmly. I was told " we can try this for you but thats all we will do, after that you are on your own. You put FBI parts on there, now you and fbi can figure it out."

my next step is to rip the whole kit off and test it out stock. That is not a big job, I just hate bleeding brakes. yay me!

What a PITA. I'm lazy, so a it might be worth $200 or so not to have to tear the bike down again. BTW, are you like 12 feet tall? How in the hell are you able to sit in the seat and reach your bars? Maybe it's the photos, but it looks like quite a stretch. The bike looks sick man, just awesome, but I'm waaaay to short for it.
