Default 2010 Ultra Trike Clutch and my wife

My wife just bought a 2010 Ultra Trike and she complains the clutch is too heavy and hard for her to pull. I understand that the Ultra has the EasyClutch installed so I have no idea what to do next?

Any ideas please?

Does it have a hydraulic clutch?
If it does I should let her pull one on an 04 or older bike.

A little cable lube would do wonders then...I do mine 2 times a year with cable lube from motion pro.

I have pulled the Hyd clutch and it is not any easier. Maybe some different levers. I have the kuryakyn trigger finger levers and they are a little easier than stock.

You did not say what your wife had been accustomed to before she got the new bike. Maybe she just needs to work on building up the strength in her clutch hand. That could very well be the case. If she rides enough that will take care of itself in time. But, if she is like most brides she is not going to be comfortable with that. If that is the case I would get her a couple of nice, soft, green tennis ***** to squeeze when she has time on her hands.

The clutch on my brothers 06 is so easy compared to mine, I can literally pull his clutch with one finger.

This Trike is her first bike. Her problem is the length of her fingers to grip the levers. She claims that it is too far from the grips and that she can just-just reach it.

One of the options we have is to put smaller grips on and to try the trigger levers. I just wanted to see if I can get any different ideas.

You might consider a VPC - Variable Pressure Clutch. http://www.aim-tamachi.com/home.php
It definitely will not slip and is easier to manipulate.

There is a device that fits on the handlebar lever that will work. It ain't pretty, but reduces effort without any modifications. Reduced clutch effort has been covered here on HDF before, so you may need to spend some time looking for earlier threads.
