and here i was trying to find a tourpack to install on my streetglide. if it kills the cool factor, then i really don't need one. i tend to pack light anyway, and if i need something warmer, a walmart is always nearby and they sell sweatshirts etc for cheap. no biggie.

I have a king tour pack for long trips, pretty much the ONLY thing it gets used for is locking my full face helmet, and whatever crap I buy when I am out and about. I went round and round on the detachable hardware, but in the end, decided I didnt like the look of the docking connector hanging out of the street glide skirt. Its only 4 bolts that hold the unit on, and it takes me all of 10 minutes to install or remove it. Pull the saddle bags, loosen the frame covers, pull the bolts, and go. I had left my pack on from our trip to reno this year, and when I finally took the pack off last week, I forgot how much different (better) the bike goes without it.

Not on the Touring Frames 2009 or 2010. The Docking Hardware is just along the fender and can be chrome or Black.
Both hide pretty good.

I fell in love with the 2000 SE Roadglide with fairings and chopped pack. First two items I added to both my 2008 RG and my 2009 SERG.

Don;t like the looks of the bike at all without lowers, and really like the pack.

Tour packs are great for trips. Keeping one on the bike is like putting one of those clam shell fiberglass trunks on a nice Corvette.
