I just put the detachable kit on my '08. I do like the looks without the Tour Pak. I also got the back rest and luggage rack. I also bought a used (cheap) Street Glide seat.

I notice a difference in the handling without the Tour Pak. I guess the center of gravity is lower without it.

I'm sure some day I'll put it on and not remove it but for now, I like it sans Pak.

Default 2 bikes in one

Its the best deal out there, 2 bikes for one, full dresser for trips when you need the lockable storage and boy does it handle better in town for zip code rides.

I have no issues with folks who have the detachable hardware, but too pricy for me.
That is why I love eBay. I got a Tour Pak detachable mount on eBay. I purchased the 4 Point mounting from Zanotti's at a discount. I made the wiring harness to use. I saved a lot of money.

Absolutely can not live w/o Tour-Pak and putting that $550+ in one of my vacation trips.

Each to their own,

Someone asked for pictures with & with the Tour Pak. Here's my RG both ways and I agree there is a huge difference in style points, but when the wife doesn't want to rider her own & comes with me, at least I have someplace to put my stuff too!

Thumbs up removable oh yeah

I love the ability to do that...Now you need a good way to store it safely..some guy on the bay has a method that worked for me real nice..Check it out, that stuff cost too much to set on a bench or shelf, or god forbid the floor...

It ain't the bike, it's the person on the bike that makes it cool. I still have mine on, and I'm one cool MFer
