Default 07 flhx vibration

07 streetglide with 20,000 miles. When new the bike was smooth but has gotten progressively worse with the vibration. Had 3 dealerships check with the same diagnosis,,, everything checks OK. Installed new Drag front motor mount and made it worse. Any advise. Not a tire or wheel problem.

Did any of the dealers check your crank runout?

My bike did the same thing ('07 SG). 26,000 miles on mine. Still have good oil pressure and the bike uses no oil. Going to ride it until I can get enough money together to get the crank balanced. A friend of mine just did the crank on his '07, I will find out soon if it made a difference.

I've heard some talk about the crank shaft. Surely not on a Harley,,,,

Thanks for the post

Check the front and back wheels and make sure the valve stem is pointing to the right side of the bike.

The front disc should be marked "left" on the right side, and "right" on the left side.

I had a tire changer mount the wheel backwards (it fits) due to the disc brake markings, which were reversed by HD to decrease disc noise.

dealership replaced factory motormount with "velva ride" mount and made the vibration 2x as bad. Factory mount was ok. I have ext. warranty on bike and the fix will probably take a truckload of attorneys to get harley to fix if it is a crank problem.

The fairing mount problem was due to bad design and may not be related to the OP's particular problem. My 2006 had 3 of the 4 broken before I replaced them. However, I did think the cycle vibrated too much.

I've got 25K on my '07 and have been concerned about the vibes too. Had the 117" built with aftermarket parts in Oct 08, so it's not an engine issue. Been thinking about installing the Glide Pro Stab kit to see if that smooths things out. (Already have the IDS and the Progressive Stab Link installed. Noticed an increase in vibes after installing the Progressive Stab Link.)
