Click the link on the Doctors post for the Amsoil preferred customer program. Spend 20 bucks, then get the wholesale pricing, the 75-140 ends up being $11.70 a quart.

I've used both Amsoil 75/90 and Redline Heavy and much prefer the Redline. Try it, you'll like it.

I ordered a case of Red Line 20 x 50 vtwin motor oil, a couple quarts of MTL, and a few qrts of heavy shock for the tranny from these guys. Prices were reasonable and they shipped fast.

I ordered from Amsoil through their preferred customer program. UPS would not deliver Amsoil unless some one was there to sign for it. This was a problem for me.

Same here, no difference that I could tell.

After trying Amsoil and Mobil 1 I finally ordered some Redline SPH and I'm really satisfied that this is the best Gear lube for the six speed tranny. I'm not saying that Amsoil and Mobil 1 aren't good products. If I were going to continue using either of those, I would use the 75W140 I think the 75W90 is too light and doesn't provide enough cushion for backlash in the gears. But when you jump from 75W90 to 140 in both Amsoil and mobil 1 you jump about
5 to 6 bucks in price, to almost 18 dollars a quart. I'm sold on RLSPH as being the best. IMO

I went to the dealer the other day and they had the Redline V Twin transmission oil in stock. Come to find out that it's the same fluid as the Redline Shockproof Heavy. Haven't put it in the bike yet. So if your looking for RSPH also look for Redline V Twin transmission oil, same stuff.

This is going to come off as a stupid question so bear with me. Is the trans dipstick just in front of the engine oil dipstick?? Don't mean to hyjack the thread. If it is I too have Redline shockproof in the tranny. It seems to shift alot smoother now but just took it around the block.

I use redline for all three fluids. The gear oil does quiet down the tranny. Also the bike shifts easier.
