I've got the bright orange Harley one. Love it, easy on and off and keeps the seat and dash dry in the rain.

I'd just get a full cover and protect the whole bike, instead of just part of it. You can get them that take up very little room in a saddlebag for about 40 bucks.

I've decided it's not worth using. Everything gets wet when I ride in the rain anyway, and putting a cover on a dirty bike is a recipe for a scratched-up bike.

It won't keep all the dust off, as it is basically open on the bottom, but it will keep the majority of the dust off.

To each their own.

A bike cover is one item I don't take trips without. In forest campgrounds it's kept pine pitch, birdcrap, pollen, and all sorts of pine cones/needles and windblown debris off the bike; overnight at hotels it provides at least a little security - I've left my soft bag on the bike overnight underneath the bike cover; and last year coming home from Sturgis we kept getting hit with heavy rain and hail - and while other guys were trying to use T-shirts and towels over their bikes the cover worked like a champ.

I use a no-name full cover from a local shop in my town, it was about $38 and it rolls up pretty small in a stuff sack. It's completely worth it to me.

YMMV.
