Were is the HD Siren Plug

Were is the HD Siren Plug
NEVER MIND, I found it.
Were is the factory plug for the HD siren on my '03 Ultra classic?
I bought one of those Radio Shack Sirens and was following the instructions that someone here posted on how to install it.
The only plug that I find on my '03 Ultra Classic is on the right ride under the side cover but it has 4 wires instead of 3 as the instruction indicate.
It's the only plug I've found that doesn't have anything plugged into it. Is there another plug?
I tested the Radio Shack siren and man is it loud.

RE: Were is the HD Siren Plug
The Radio Shack siren works great. I found the plug and had it mounted and working in about 20 minutes. I think I paid $5 for it and man is it loud. It will work fine until I can afford a HD unit.
I don't have the part number. Maybe who ever it was that made the original post will chime in with it.
Here is the instructions. WORKS GOOD!
Radio Shack Siren
The siren from the Shack only has
2 wires (red and black), the bike
has three (brown, green, and black).
Strip about an inch of the
wire on the siren, then fold the
exposed amount in half and twist,
in order to make thicker and more
rigid. Then plug the siren (red) into
the bike (brown) and the siren
(black) into the bike (green).
Be sure and keep the two apart
by insulating with electrical tape.
I then used some flex tube to
protect the remaining exposed
wire.
Tip: When using electrical tape,
after covering desired area, twist
tape so that adhesive side is out.
Then after a couple wraps twist
back again and wrap adhesive side
to adhesive side. This will eliminate
the heat causing the tape to peal up.
Siren should snug up nicely in the
area where the factory one would
have gone.

RE: Were is the HD Siren Plug
I am glad you posted this! I have had the Radio Shack Siren for over a Month and have not taken the time to install it! I thought about doing this over 4-5 months ago. I know HD makes a siren kit with pager etc but for LESS that $5us you can add the Radio Shack Part number 273-079 siren to the wire and location mentioned above. This siren is rated 6-14vdc and at 12vdc it has 120db output!! This is louder than most cities noise laws allow!
The unit chirps to let you know it is on/off as well. I used scotchlock to secure it to the bike behind the side panel.
My next mod is to add the pager function. I have tested the Rnet Unit (size of a pack of cigerettes) I have from work (On 400mhz band) with a pager of same band on a temp basis this evening and I have over 3 mile range (not line of site) should help in penetrating buildings while away from bike. Not sure if I will add the pager function until winter...................
Also......Just returned from trip to Southern Indianna (Home town) Took interstate from Peoria Il to Danville Il, RT 150/1 to RT 36 to Rt 231 to RT46 through Bloomington IN to Nashville IN. I took Hwy 135 south all the way to home town (Corydon) This Hwy 135 from Nashville In to Salem IN is a great twistie!! great trip through Housier National Forest. Took some side trip to Louisville KY (Street rod Nationals were Here) several trips from Corydon on Hwy 62 west toward Evansville IN. Great trip I know this is worthless with NO pictures !!!!! I left drove 2hrs and THEN remembered the camera was still at home!!!!! btw Corydon is worth a stop lots of places to see (historic First state capitol of Indianna until 1825 when it was moved to Indiannapolis0 Lots of shops etc.. lots of roads to check out....
If any one gets time to run HWY 135 out of Nashville IN (Nashville also has shops fof the wife!) take your time it is a great road!!!

RE: Were is the HD Siren Plug
I tried the radio shack siren but can' seem to get it to work on the bike. I tried it straight to a battery and it was really loud but contrary to the above instructions my '03 ultra has a black, a white with black stripe, a green with brown stripe and an green with a purple(?) stripe. I tried every combination but could only get a low level buzz out of it with one of the combinations. Shorty can you or someone else enlighten me?
And to Marty: The wife and I did the State route 62 ride between Dale and Sulfur then down route 66 through Derby to Tell City and Troy last Saturday...beautiful especially along the Ohio!
