Rain ziplock there ya go
I use a garmin, not the 800$ version...cheapies work fine...if you find yourself in a rain storm, do what you do...put a rain coat on it. A small baggie or ziplock will work great with a rubber band. I keep one in my bag at all times. You can see it and it stays dry. Just slip the baggie over the top, rubber band it closed at the bottom and go...it isn't alive, it does not need to breath, if you are worried about heat, hey it's raining...and cooler...just leave a corner open to get some air...there ya go...cheap and efficient. Now go take that Harley $$ note and ride in a driving rain storm!

Thanks for all of the replies. I may have to look for a reasonable Nuvi unit on Ebay. I used to have a Zumo 550 but sold it a couple of years ago. I am currently using a Garmin Quest 2, but the screen is pretty small. I would really like to get a Zumo 660 or the new Zumo 665, but I can't really afford it right now. They are nice units but way too expensive.

The Nuvi 550 is waterproof and can be found fairly cheap. I only use mine in the rain on battery which is not bad since the battery lasts 4-5 hours. Not the biggest screen, not many bells and whistles, but I like the battery life and that its waterproof. Yes I've ridden in the rain with it not a problem, there is a attatched rubber cover for the USB port.
