I ran the Freedom 7" windshield on my 07 SG. When I traded it in I removed it and put it on my '11 SG. I'm 5'-11" and it works for me at all speeds. Call Jim at www.fastaire.com and he can suggest to you the proper height. Excellent service and prices. Check it out on his website.

Ran the 15 inch Cee Bailee windshield for 70,000 miles. The best windshield for taking out buffeting. I have switched to a 10 1/2 clearview because I wanted to move the windshield out of my way. The Cee Bailee works because it is closer to you. So far I am liking the Clearview, but I don't have many miles on it yet. Like the looks of it though and I have the version with the 5 postion vent. I need air when riding through hot places!

Obviously there is more than one operating condition that folks described as "buffeting". I was under the impression that buffeting was a handling condition caused by strong turbulent air hitting the fairing/shield effecting front end stability, making the front feel a little shakey or wobbley. Alot of the responses here are relative to turbulent air hitting the rider. So which is it, if both shouldn't we figure out different names for the different conditions?
