Default Big City Thunder Baffles

Anyone have these on their bike? I put the QQ Thunder Monster Baffles in my head pipe and I am very disappointed with the product. All the baffles did were quiet the volume.......they did not deepen the tone by 38%(whatever that means) as advertised,,,,my pipes did not get the deep tone or improve the performance. It's the worst 150 bucks I have ever spent. I am taking them out this weekend,,,,any offers?? I did send them an e-mail and they replied with this one line statement, "As thousands of people state, when the Thunder Monster baffles are properly installed in a properly tuned bike they deliver a deeper tone, quiet the volume and improve the overall performance."

I bought some for my last bike. I rode it once with them and they have been sitting on the bench in my garage ever since. A reminder to be more selective on what I spend money on.

I guess it depends on your pipe. I had a set in my big shots and liked them. They sounded a good deal better than the V&H quiet baffles to me. Took the tinny sound away and made them much more tolerable...

I haven't seen any % deeper tone (not sure how one would even measure that) on their website and the QQ's show to be $129. Did you have to get some special version or something?

They were perfect in my V&H big radius...of course I didn't have the QQ baffles...

Call BCT and see what they will do. Give them a chance to fix it (and let us know how it goes)

When I put on my V&H basic slipons, it seemed I lost some low end (2 1/4" baffles). So I bought the QQ header baffles and put the header baffle in the left side head pipe only (trying to get the back pressure back). I could feel the difference and the sound totally changed. The exhaust flow went back to stock (more out of the right side than left).

What I should have done, was buy the Jackpot mufflers with the asymetrical design.... Would of saved me $150 bucks.

Ride safe and have fun.

I'm kinda doing something similar to you. I bought my 2009 FLHT/V&H slip-ons late last summer. I never knew about FuelMoto Jackpots. After no serious inquiries to sell my V&H's on Craigslist locally (to buy some Jackpots), I went a different route. I pulled my left baffle out and had my buddy tack weld an I-bolt/washer to the front side to increase back pressure a tad. I will then wrap the cheese grating with baffle packing. I know the baffle is still 2-1/4" but thinking this should increase back pressure somewhat on the left side. Packing/hardware cost me $5.50 If that fails, I will go to the local muffler shop and have him open up a 3" section of 1.5" exhaust pipe to 2-1/4" OD and do the washer/I-bolt trick. I've made these in years past for my 1500/1600 Kawasaki's with 2" baffles.
