Huge increase in power. All the touring bikes should come from the factory with a 103" motor.
Im pretty happy with the numbers considering this basically is a stock motor. No custom head work ,8.9:1 compression, and stock cams that are more geared towards emissions then power. This bike for me is now perfect. Good power, starts right up with no need for compression releases, runs smooth, and is relatively quiet. “exhaust and valve train”
Now if I can just get this smile off my face…

Very close to what I am running on my 103 with 255's; 83 hp and 100 ft/lbs of torque.

I used the cams that came with the kit. They didn’t have any numbers on them just CVO stamped on the ends. From the research I did on the CVO Forum they are SE 253’s which is what the CVO bikes came with stock from the factory. The consensus is they were designed to help the bike pass emissions not make big power.

Ive used those cams in a '05 103 with the SE heads, V&H 1 3/4" head pipes with Rinehart slipons to make 102 hp and 110 tq. They run very well.

ain't the 103's cool? i did mine just over a month ago, and i swear my rear tire ain't gonna last if i don't cool it a bit with the throttle. that's a very impressive increase in power. the reason harley doesn't put a 103 in all their touring line, is because they're sharp enough to know that we'll be back to the parts and service counter when the 96 no longer has the "thrill" enjoy your new build.
