Default 08 RKC Brake Light Issues

On my way home my check engine light came on. I checked the code and it is showing PO572 ( brake switch low ). The brakes work fine but I do not have any brake light from the hand or foot lever. All other lights are working fine. My guess is fuse or bulb. Anyone have any ideas? All info and advice is much appreciated.

if you did the brake light/tail light conversion, unplug the conversion and plug it in as it was originally and try it. It's worth a shot.

My rear brake light switch failed. First brake light issues then it started squirting brake fluid and lost the rear brake. The dealer said they had several failing the same way. Mine didn't throw a code though.
