Default Fluid leak off clutch cable

I have a drip coming off of my clutch cable. I has to be Tranny fluid because it is heavy and smells like 90wt. I had my Indy do the bar swap which needed a new cable. Can't find the source of the leak. Could it be from where the cable goes into the tranny? What would be the cause?

Thanks

There is an oring where the cable threads into the cover. see if it's loose but do not over tighten. Also check bolts on the cover

My thoughts too.......Not too say all mechanics would, but if they worked
on your bars they maybe lubed your cable.

Sounds like your indy needs to go back and check his work!

Not sure if they oiled the cable or not...

Hog-doc,

I already talked to him about it. He told me if it kept it up that he would try a new cable.

There is an O-ring on the end of the cable, PN 11179.

it's also pretty common to cross thead the cable in the transmission housing. Mine came from the factory this way. I then cross threaded it myself when I upgraded to braided cables. While out on a long ride, I tried to tighten it some and it broke off...

Long story short, it would not surprise me if:

a) it's cross threaded
b) the bolt has broken off in the housing

I think it's clutch cable defect.
