Just broke in a pair of new E-3s yesterday. Didn't ride in the rain but the tires seem really good in the dry. Tar snakes don't affect them. Steel bridges, barely noticable.
So far I like 'em.
I rode my bike, Saturday, in a pouring rain. I had Dunlop Elite3s installed last winter and wasn't sure how good they would do in the rain. I had to stop fast as a stop light changed on me at the last second. I always apply the rear brake a fraction of a second before the front brake to settle the bikes suspension. When I applied the rear brake, firmly, the ABS released the rear brake as the rear tire was about to skid and then re-applied the rear brake immediately. I applied the front brake just a fraction of a second after the rear and it, along with the rear brake, brought the bike to a halt RIGHT NOW! I was very impressed with the tires in the wet as it had just started raining after a long dry spell and the oil on the road had not completely washed off. I also thought, I'll never buy a new bike without ABS.
Thanks for the report. I just had the E3’s put on my bike and got caught in a frog chocker riding home. While I did not have any sudden stops, they seemed to handle well.
