Default How did I end up 50 miles from home?

I cleaned off all the bugs off the old Street Glide this morning (from this weekend) and decided to take the mail to the post office (3 miles away).

I thought I'd take some backroads home (east side of town) and the next thing I know, I'm 50 miles from home, two towns over WEST of town.

WHAT HAPPENED???? You gotta love these touring bikes. (now I got bugs again)

I can relate. Did a quick hundred miles Sat and yesterday by the time I got in at 1 this morning after riding in PCB with a fine lady and when I looked at the Odo I was at 323 miles for the day. 120 each way and then a good ride in between... the miles pile up when ur having fun.

Funny how a "quick" trip turns into 50-75 miles. I went for one yesterday sans the wife and ended up gone for 2 1/2 hours and 100 miles extra on the scoot. No hug and kiss waiting. Hmmm???

Have you ever took off for a short trip down the street, ended up 50 miles away and froze all the way home because the sun went down. Its happened to me a few times.

The day I took delivery of the Ultra I took a 150 mile trip home and I only live 20 min from the dealer. Called the wife who left the dealer the same time I did 3 hours later and said I was turning around and heading for home. Yeah... gotta love the touring bikes!!!
