Default HD Split Vision Mirrors review

I bought a set of the new HD split vision mirrors from my local dealer last week when they were having a 20% off sale. They were pretty easy to install on my '08 SG. Removed the outer fairing, un-bolted the old, bolted on the new. Took about 20 min. I will say they are an improvement over the stock mirrors only because of the small convex mirrors in the corners. They are the exact same size as the stock mirrors which means too small. For $80 I could probably have purchased a bunch of 1" stick on convex mirrors...a whole bunch. The convex mirrors on the split vision are angled out and it does increase your field of vision so I'm not complaining too loud.

I got the regular mount split vision mirrors, not the fairing mount and I love them. With my old mirrors all I could see on my left was my arm. I noticed that I have been using mostly the wide view portion of the mirror since I installed them, two days ago, but overall I like them.

I have the handlebar mount set and I love them! They give a whole lot wider view of what is happening behind you. I recommend them to everyone who complains about the stock mirrors.

They also look a little larger in the pictures which would be a benefit. Not sold on the HD ones especially after hearing a few reviews.

After installing my painted inner, I couldnt bring myself to drilling new holes so I went with the split handlebar mounts. I get about a car width extra with the convex portion. Not bad, love the looks though.
