Default Cant Reach the Kickstand on FLHX

Being vertically challenged and new to this bagger, I find I cannot reach the kickstand without some gymnastics. I see HD offers an extension. Will this help? I really have to stretch to reach the kickstand to kick it back and I know I am gonna dump this brute sooner or later.

The HD extension helps a ton. It doesn't look like it will, it looks like it moves it forward, but it also is several inches off the ground and makes it very easy to reach. I went a year struggling until someone on here mentioned that it works differently than it looks.

MY friend has a lowered night train, not exactly sure why but he just leans down and flicks the kick stand with his hand it looks quik and easy if you got into the habbit i`m sure it would be second nature!

I would not recommend someone who is "vertically challenged" leaning over to "flip" the jiffy stand down by hand. An 850lb+ bagger is a bit more than a lowered Night Train. Put a jiffy stand extension ($39.95) on there. I am 6'2 and have one just because it keeps my from scuffing the crap out of my primary kicking around searching for my jiffy stand with my foot.

The HD extension works as expected. Don't even think about it, get one tomorrow. You don't want to be reaching for it stand and go too close to the tip-over point. I love mine.

Bought and installed the extension. Should have done that Day 1!

The installation is simple BUT YOU DO HAVE TO DRILL A HOLE. That was the surprise in the package. LOL! I used my battery operated hand drill with the proper bit sizes. Just follow the instructions and you will have it on in no time. Definately helped me!

I just put mine up on my bike jack and, with the jiffy stand still in the down position, lowered it down so the jiffy stand was on resting on a block of wood. Not all the way down, but far far enough that the stand has quite a bit of weight on it with the bike still fairly in an upright position. Make sure you have good sharp drill bits, lubricant, and go slow because that jiffy stand is some hard ****. I used titanium nitride coated bits.

I just put 19" Banana Boards on my 09 SG and now the kickstand is under the board If wearing boots it's near impossible to reach. Any ideas or recommended products?
Thanks in advance
