I have no intentions of rebuilding the motor or tranny. Is the $22 Clymer OK, compared to the $60 HD service manual??

 

Sorry but there is no comparison between the two. Spend the extra money and get the Harley manual. You will be much happier.

 

Get the Harley book and you won't go wrong. It has everything and you won't have to wonder if it's right or wrong....it's from Harley!

Absolutely go with the HD manual....and it's not $60, try Zanotti or Benji's or one of the other 20% off HD houses and it should be in the $45 range. I like the parts manual as well...it gives part numbers but also very good exploded views. All together these items pay you back like no other accessory you will put on the bike

 

If you're going to have the dealer do all your bike work, buy neither...if you put a wrench or screwdiver to your bike, have the H-D Service Manual with you.
