I have camped and brought the bike on the trailer so I could ride during the day and do some meals at the site. The bike at the time was a Dyna and was easy to load/unload and didn't have much carrying capabilities. This way I had the equipment you could not carry on a bike so I had the best of both worlds. I always wanted to try camping by motorcycle but have yet to do so.

The closest I come to camping these days is during sturgis, stay in a campground with rustic cabins (bunkbeds/electric/no water/bring your sleeping bag) that has a nice bathhouse and the owners serve a nice breakfast/dinner each day. A freind used to drag his toyhauler there each year, until he realized I was paying less money than he was and getting meals too boot.( and no dishes!!) Last year he left the toyhauler home and rode out for the first time with me. We're heading back this year for the 70th, can't wait..
