Default What is everyone using for speakers to replace the stock ones?

I would like to replace my stock speakers with better ones. Using the HK head unit. I would still like to use water proof speakers. I know they are 5 1/4 size and need 2 ohms.

Thanks for your help

I am very happy with the J & M 7.25's. Plug & Play. Simple install. Huge improvement over stock, IMHO.

I recently replaced my stock speakers with HD Boom speakers, http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...4&default=none and although they are better than stock, it's just not enough clearity for me. I am now looking to replace them with these. http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_1....html?tp=27796 They are 2 ohm.

This is quickly becoming a "what's the best oil" type of question.
I think there are a couple front runners with Hawgwired, biketronics, and J&M. I myself went with the J&M 7.25 set and I am very happy with it. No amp here (would like to get their new amp maybe next year), and a simple install.
I think you will be happy with whatever you get. I like the sets made for bikes. Could be ignorance, but it makes sense that I get a speaker MADE for a bike.

I just installed the Hogtunes amp, tweeter pods and speakers, great sound and volume and for the price, you can't really go wrong. Picked the whole setup off E-bay for a little over $400 complete.

Just replace my Hogtunes speakers with the J&M 7 1/4. Big improvement. Took a ride today and I could hear them much better at speeds over 80.

Still driving them with the Hogtunes amp.
