Default Strange Cruise Control Problem

I have a 2006 Road King Classic. Yesterday I noticed the Cruse control would not disengage when I turned the switch off. I was able to deactivate the CC by tapping the brakes. When I troublesot I determined no matter what position the CC power switch was in the indicator was always on. Of course I thought the switch must have went bad. I connected an ohm meter to the CC module connector and found that the switch is working properly. That is it is and open when off and short when on. Any clues to this issue before I take it in and have HD swap out the CC module?

Update: I found that the on off wire going to the CC module had 12 V when the switch was on and 9 when off. I then pulled apart connector 158 in the head light and the voltage was gone. I remvoved the switch and the power was intermittent in the off position. evidently I had a short somewhere. I resoldered all of my aftermarket accessories and wrapped them in heat shrink. After installing everything the system is normal. Looks like I fixed it.
