HD Hammock. With your size and you want to get off the tank, I think you would really like this one. This thing by far is the most comfy seat I have had on any of my bikes. It also soakes up the bumps making it easier on back.

 

My bike does have the newer mid year seat. My dealer showed the difference and as far as looks goes the newer seat is better looking. I have a co-worker that purchased a new style seat for his 2010 and still has the first design, maybe I can try his old seat and see how it feels.

 

I like the looks of the Hammock, so it does get you off the tank? I am starting to get fine scatches in my paint from my thighs up on the tank all the time. The Harley Goodies floor board extensions helped a lot. I did adjust my back rest farther back today and rode about 150 miles, it was much better, but still far from great.

 

Mustang on 07 & 08 Ultras stock seat is garbage.

 

+1 on the Mustang. I'm 6' and the Mustang allows me to push back more than stock. It's also much firmer. The stock seat is really poor!!

 

I love my Corbin dual touring seat on my 09 SG and the floorboard extensions also helped. I to have the scratches on the side of my tank from my chaps. I am also 6'2" and about 265 but the Corbin seat really makes you feel like you are sitting in the bike and also provides good back support, I have put 12 to 14 hours a day on the seat and it still was great.

Corbin - custom made at the Hollister factory - made to fit MY *** - I am on the other end from the other posts above - I am 5'6".... for us short riders as well as the tall riders.. the 'ride in appoitment' - I arrive at 8am - seat is made that day to my measurments... then I ride home...

I can ride all day on my Corbin and I feel great.

20K plus for a bike and it feels like they put on an $8.00 seat.I'm 6'1 205 lbs. couldn't get a new seat fast enough in 06,absolutely love the mustang,it set down and back further and a little narrower in the inseam,very comfortable on long rides.
