SE slip-on question

SE slip-on question
Hello everyone. Been reading this site since I purchased my new 08 Road King several years ago. I finally joined today and have a few questions.
I purchased a set of SE slip ons from Ebay, from a big bore kit, 29905-07. They will go on a 08 Road King. I have several questons regarding them.
First, will I need to have the bike re-mapped if this is the only thing I do to it and what, if any, type of change can I expect from just adding the pipes?
Second, if I purchase the stage one SE air cleaner and have the new slip-ons then will I need to re-map, and again, what kind of change can I expect from the bike.
Appreicate all the responses....thanks...

I started with a stock '09 Ultra Classic. I installed a set of SE slip-ons and did not notice much difference if any. I had a Stage 1 and download done at the dealer and that helped but not a lot. The biggest improvement to date is the installation of a Ridemaxx Tuner.

If you buy our slip-ons, you don’t have to do any tuning and you don’t have to buy any other components. You can just put them on and ride with the breeze. You might know about this, but the reason is because your bike has what is called a closed loop system. This means that it automatically adjusts the air and fuel mixture accordingly. Every Harley from the factory runs lean, when you put any new mufflers on it, it continues to run lean. If you want the performance increase, then you would want to add the power commander and or the air cleaner kit and retune, but none of this is necessary to run our mufflers on your bike. Again adding these options is only if you wanted the performance upgrade.

I appreicate the comments.
AZ Road King: I didn't know if I had an open loop or closed, thanks for clearing that up for me.
Bikes: Looked at the site for the ridemaxx tuner. Did you use the fuel injection control module or fuel maxx? And did you purchase this after having the dealer re-map? Thanks....

Call Fuel Moto, Tell what you want out of your bike and what you already have. They will most likely tell you to go with a PC V , backplate and AC. They will map it for what you need. If you just go with the slip ons and leave all else stock you will be fine, but if not the PC V is the way to go........ forget dealership overpriced maps.
