i have a problem now,i istall the module but is not working the right control.at the first time the left control was working by it self.i manage to fix it.but still is not working the right control at all.any ideas?i will call the company but first i want to see if ia m doing something wrong.

I am having the same issue. I installed a Sony marine grade radio in my sons 03 classic. At the same time I also installed the Biketronics adapter. After installing my son took the bike far a ride, and the controls worked for about a 1/4 of a mile.....then nothing. I checked all connections and everything was good. I call Biketronics and they sent a replacement. I installed this and still no controls. The radio was returned and replace. I installed this, and still no controls........any help would get appreciated. I read in the earlier posts about removing the battery connection for ten minutes, I will try this tonight. Thanks

 

Battery disconnect usually resets it back into shape. Then you have to re-adjust the AVC !!

 

Is the procedure for resetting the AVC the shop manual?

 

I removed the positive battery lead last night, as suggested above. Still no controls. WTF. Has anyone got this fixed?

 

yes do it as it says.the module is already AVC set.if you do not want it do what the manual says.if you want to make it work again after just unplug the negative pole for 5 minutes.then it will be ok again with the AVC working.
my problem was at the wiring of the bike.somebody i think accidentally cut off the hand control wires.after a chek we found the problem and now is working almost two years perfect!!!
