Life is good.......even on April Fool's
We had a job to do this morning on my buddy's bike. Buz needed a new rear tire and brakes on his 03' RK. Got the rear wheel off in about 15 min and Buz was off to get the new tire mounted and balanced. He got back in a half hour with the new tire mounted and I got the rear brakes apart and put on new pads.
We got the wheel back on in about 15 min and had the exhaust re-mounted also. Not bad for two retired guys in about an hour an half. After a few functional tests on the brakes, we lowered it off the lift and Buz took a quick ride to check out the work we did.
He got back and about noon today we took off for a ride. Me riding my new build and just thinking what a great day it was (sunny 85) to be riding after the long winter. Make's one appreciate the ride more, when you can ride up north here. We rode about 150 miles today and the thought of it being April Fools day today, seemed not right. How could a day of having some laughs with a pal and riding through the hills of western Pa. be a trick or joke?
So as far as I am concerned, today was no fools joke. These are the days you remember when you can no longer ride. Yes indeed, life is good.

Ol lady got called to work which sucked as we planned a mid 80's ride today. As it was I took off on my own in a T shirt, hit the Blue Ridge Parkway and had a fine time. Tomorrow we are planning an all day ride on a good long stretch of the Parkway. Forecast is clear skies and 88 tomorrow. Perfect for a mountain ride!!!!
