When making any purchase, whether a bike, car, or can of corn, the vendor offers a price, the buyer makes a decision whether that price is worth the investment. The responsibility ends there. You can always say no.

The "I got ripped off" argument is completely bunk. You made the decision to buy.

For 4.8K you can have what an 07 can't!!!!!!!! Do a 95 build, add the 6 gearset and you are there. Getting my 6 put in this week, 95 build and 6 tranny for $3.5K or less and still sputtering around on 8* injectors. No radio problems either, this stuff is like All My Children................

I bought an 06 two weeks before the 07's came out. The dealer found my bike in the color I wanted and went three hours down the road to pick it up. The owner of the dealership and salesman are friends. Both said the new bikes would have the six speeds and probably a larger engine for about a thousand more than the 06’s. He said he would sell me an 07 for MRSP or a great deal on the new 06 which I purchased. I don’t like to purchase a new model the first year out. Move on and enjoy.

The salesman has to make a living. One would assume that new models come out in the fall. Happens every year.

Dealers have been lowballing trade-ins on 07's since day 1 around here. I already took the high road, picked my bike up yesterday after getting the 6 speed installed, love it to death. Next we start working on the 95" and some mild cams.

Can any of you others remember when a Harley Rider was proud of the model year bike he rode? It used to be a badge of honor!

FYI, they ain't gonna give be beeny weenies for an 05 Ultra with 40k mi. anyway. I told a friend of mine who is a salesman at the local dealer, I really didn't want to get in a p*ss*ng contest with him over trading up anyway. All they'd end up with is an unhappy ex-customer.

Think about this one, NOBODY who works at the local shop has bought an 07 yet. Hummm?

I went in with the intention of ordering a 2007 Ultra. Knowing that I could not leave the stock exhuast alone I asked about the cost of exhaust on 2007. I was told about $1400.00 for everything. I found a beautiful 2006 Vivid Black Ultra classic with Stage 1 S/E and Vance and HInes ovals sitting there marked $ 750.00 off MSRP. I bought it , Tired and True TC88 and 5 speed.
