I'm replacing my old inner fairing trim because the adhesive was terrible. Whenever it got really hot the adhesive would break down and the trim would come loose. I have the replacement trim and am about to put it on....my question is this: has the adhesive improved at all? I thought I read somewhere that it has but I can't seem to find that info now. I will super glue it if it hasn't improved but if the adhesive is better now I will not bother with the extra work.

 

I've not heard that it changed and most posts which touch on the subject suggests that SuperGlue is the best way to go. I haven't re-glued mine yet, but plan to the next time I have the outer fairing off.

 

Yep, super glue, no more worries. Use a toothpick.

 

Go get some auto door trim, self adhesive. Looks better too.
