Default local dealer calls for 2500 mile service, can

i do this one myself with out screwing warranty up? these guys charge 350 for the 2500, normally i wouldnt think twice about taking it in but work and cash flow hasnt been the best this last month.

2,500 isn't even a scheduled service interval. It's 1,000 miles then 5,000. Every 2,500 is just a money maker for the dealer. Just wait till you get to 5,000.

You can do ANY service interval yourself. Keep receipts and written records of what you do. If a service interval is required to be done by an H-D then H-D would have to pay for it.

yeah thats what i thought, i think its just a dealer thing, if this is the case ill be doing my own 2500 mile service.

What are you going to perform as far as maintenance at the 2500 mile mark?

Service manual calls for 1K then 5K then every 5K after that. Says nothing about 2,500
