local dealer calls for 2500 mile service, can

other than the oil and filter ill just check bolts, fastners, just a general check for anything loose. ifi document it and manual calls for 1000, 5000 , 10000 and so forth i dont see how they can deny my warranty if i do a 2500 myself and let them do service intervals the manual calls for.i did a search before posting and thought this was what folks would reply back about the 2500 mile service deal. thanks all.

Like the others above have said. YOU CAN DO ANY of them yourself without voiding the warranty. Keep your receipts and document what you did. If you buy a manual like I did it tells you exactly what to check, and there is a place to document it on some blank pages in the back.
I plan on doing all mine, nothing like getting close to your scoot by taking care of and babying your bike by spending a couple hours just looking it over from the tip of the front fender to the 3 bar led on the bottom of the rear.
And as the others have said, if your dealer tells you there is a 2500 mile service due, he needs to be turned in to MOCO, because he is misleading you terribly. Buy a manual and ask him to show you where it's at. When he can't tell him he just lost ALL your business because he was trying to rip you off.... Wave byebye as you leave the floor.
