Bamboo is correct, the 940 Series shock is a coil based suspension and does not utilize air. Preload adjustment is done via the top caps that can be turned by hand. The 930 was designed specifically for the big Touring rigs, although they work excellent on a Street Glide as well. MSRP is $699, but I suspect our Forum mates know where to get the deals!

Man. Why can't someone make a shock with adjustable compression and rebound without charging an arm and a leg?

At least adjustable preload and rebound. Please...

Cheap shocks are cheap to make and don't work very well. Features like adjustable preload and rebound are expensive to make and also get right for a specific application. If you have an expensive bike with cheap suspension dig deep and get decent stuff! Relative to the cost of a new or recent dresser, shocks like Ohlins are small change.

2009 FLHX, air shocks at 35 psi Mean City Cycles front and rear modded Sundowner seat.

I ordered the 940s and Progressive stock height front springs today. Phat gave me a deal on the package - call them and ask about the Progressive shock and front spring package. They didn't know about it but ponyed up when I mentioned it was available through April.

Spent the big bucks to get a more sophisticated ride for two up. I'm just getting my wife to "like" spending the day on the back but the frost heaves and surprise pavement thuds are really hurting her back. I'm hoping these shocks will help with the bottoming out. I've also noticed that the fork is overwhelmed easily on high speed bumps, that's why the Progressive spring mod.

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the 940 Series shocks! Thanks guys! We had a very specific goal when designing these shocks; lowered ride height without a compromise in ride quality! How many other parts have you put on your bike offer a lifetime guarantee?

BTW, they let me extend the FREE spring promo until the end of May!

Anyone have experience with the 440 series shocks? I'm experiencing all the same aformentioned high speed bottoming problems on a 2010 Ultra Classic. At 6'1 I content with the stock height.

What's your weight and preload setting? Standard or Heavy Duty version of the 440 Series?
