Default RK and Windshield not issue with lowers

OK, I searched and can't seem to find the information I am looking for. I have a 2009 FLHR RK and when on the highways, I have lots of wind noise. Not really buffeting in that my helmet is not shaking or vibrating, just get lots of wind noise. I have tried holding my hand at my chest, placing my feet on top of the engine guard and this does not seem to help. If I hold my hand at the top of the windshield it is better.

So my question is.. How tall should the windshield be. I am 6'2" and riding stock seat. I would say the stock windshield comes up to my chin? I understand that I should be looking over the windshield but wonder how much?

I was thinking about getting the oversize HD windshield, but want to get some advise before dropping the cash on something that does not help?

Any indormation would be appreciated

Robb

The bridge of the nose is where most suggest but have you looked to see if you can adjust the angle? I run an 8" om my ultra and look completely over the windshield but the height and angle seem to be just right that it deflects most of the wind over my head.

Drifting,

I looked at the mount and it does not appear that I can change the angle.

Bummer. If you go taller keep in mind that as they age windshields will develop scratches. Looking through a windshield with scratches can create issues when looking into a setting or rising sun and at night with on coming headlights.

If noise is your only problem get a set of Big Ears ear plugs, they work great!
