I think it is more of an installation problem than an inherent weakness with the kit. The bearings should not have given any trouble if installed properly and the Stage IV kit should come with the SE clutch spring, which is quite robust and shouldn't fail so early.

I had the 258 cams and I hated them with a passion!
The 259e cams I love them with a passion!
258 cams, they SUCK big time

question, I'm upgrading to a 1550 ci, have the jugs pistons, all the goodies, stopped in today at my bike guys shop, he suggested I have the heads ported and polished, at an additional cost of $500. So I haven't purchased the cams, looking at se257 or se258 don't know which one to choose??? advantage of each please?
I have the stage I with true duals, power commander, would it be worth the extra money to have the heads done?
