Default What is this oil line?

Is it preasurized, or is it just a vent line that vents a small amount of oil to the oil tank?
I'm wondering because I stripped the nut on the right, and it's going to be a few days before I get a new one.
If it's just a vent, maybe I can put a hose on the fitting and run it out the back of the transmission for a ride or two?

So is there much coming through it? Does it vent the crankcase or the oil tank?

Crankcase to oil pan...

That chrome POS is an add-on (I cussed one so bad, I threw it away). The stock setup is a rubber hose.

Yes it is.
Buddy was helping me reassemble after installing the chrome oil filler spout. He told me it was started , but he didn't want to over tighten and strip it. So I carefully turned the nut with a 3/4" wrench and stripped it. He hadn't started it straight!
Lesson learned.
Had to buy a whole kit to get the nut, $75 cdn plus tax Phil. I might have settled for the rubber one if I had it.
Now I'm wondering, if you can't get it to work, maybe (more than likely) I can't.
If it doesn't work for me on the second try, hopefully the small fitting that fits into the fill spout will fit into the crankcase and since I'll have two of them by then, I'll run a stainless steel braided line across.
Expensive way of doing it, but I've pissed away more than that on other stupid ideas!

I installed that chrome vent line on my Ultra, I like it a lot.

The stock rubber hose looks like chit, IMO.

Has anyone thought or tried to tap the breather tubes into this line instead of going into the intake?

Won't do what I think you would be trying to achieve.
