Default Opinions on Harley 65255-96 mufflers

As stated in the title. I need some opinions of 65255-96 mufflers. I need some new mufflers due to chrome issues. These will accomodate my fishtail caps which I want to keep. On the inlet side there appears to be a small lip/ridge about halfway down the straight inlet section. Will this interfere with the installation on my 2000 Road King Classic? Anyone know what these sound like. I'm going to be putting them behind a set of true duals.

Dawg, Did I ask this question in a confusing way? I just want some info on these mufflers. How loud, any issues with fitment, etc?

It's just that you put up a part number for it and that the normal person would not know how to locate the pn# especially since they are obsolete and wouldn't be able to be found on the HD website. You won't get much information unless there are a few people that might happen to have them and/or know what you are talking about. In any event, Rush mufflers makes a tip compatible muffler that fits the old SE tips. Have you checked with them?

Thanks for the replies Dawg. Didn't know any other way to describe them than by the part #,s. I know they are obsolete, but I have found some new old stock ones and they are fairly cheap. I guess I was hoping there would be someone here familiar with the older mufflers. My biggest concern is the ridge on the inlet side. I will look into the Rush mufflers but have to keep the $$$$$$ in line.
