We run the same grade oil in all three holes. We don't run Mobil 1, but when we put the Amsoil 20w50 in, we use it in all 3 holes. As long as you are running Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w50 oil, you should be fine using it in all three components.

Hope this helps.

Umm, kinda. I'm not wild about 20w base stock in the tranny. I use Mobil 1 75w 90 gear lube in there, Formula+ in the primary and M1 20w 50 in the crankcase. YMMV.

Red line w/shockproof in the tranny.

No.
I use it in the engine only.
Formula + in the primary,
Just started using Mobil 1 90-140 Syn trans fluid in the trans. Seems to quiet it down a bit, and maybe even shift better. Was using their 70-90 Syn.
Having said that, something in my trans has been through the crusher. A lot of heavy metalic dust, even more then usual. Everything seems to be working properly, it just has me a little concerned.
For reference, 30,000 miles on her, a great many of those above 85 mph. I say that because I get a feeling most don't ride at those speeds, at least on a regular basis, and the trans harmonics might have something to do with it????

Same here. I do use Mobile 1, and I use it in all three holes. It actually reduced my 5th gear "whine".

Ride safe!

I am just using it for the engine. I use Redline products for my Primary and for my Trans.

Personal preference more than anything else.
