Default Fox Creek custom fit 8-10 weeks out...

I am in the market for a new leather. Have been looking at Langlitz and Fox Creek classic II. Decided to order the Fox Creek and when it arrived it was way to short in the arms so I switched it out for a long and now its too long in the body. Called Fox Creek and they said they could have one custom made for me but it would be 8-10 weeks. Called Langlitz and they are saying 4 weeks. Anyone here who has ordered a Fox Creek have to wait that long?

8 to 10weeks is their standard advertised time frame. Usually it is less than that. Maybe 4-6 weeks. However, riding season is fast approaching and they may have lots of orders to fill. Fox Creek quality is worth the wait. I own 1 jacket, a belt, and wallet from FCL and the quality has always been top notch IMO.

I would go with Langlitz. Also, they build their own jackets, Fox Creek does not.

Default Fox Creek Leather

Ordered a pair of chaps back in the beginning of February. They sent me a pair that was too large. I sent them back and they said it would 8-10 weeks. Got them in little over 4 weeks. The new pair was down right perfect! Great customer service and you'll be amazed at the heavy quality leather they use. Going to order the vest next. Without reservation, most strongly recommended. You'll be extremely happy.

This is posted on their website:

Why Made In USA?
We have never found another manufacturer, inside or outside the US, which can produce our garments to the level of quality that allows us to cover them with a lifetime guarantee.

We do not support sweatshop labor. From our position as a small company it would be difficult to impossible to ensure that fair labor practices were being followed in a factory thousands of miles away. The quest for cheap labor regardless of the consequences wastes resources, is dehumanizing, and has ravaged many communities at home and abroad.

I special ordered a jacket in brown that was custom fit. Told me 8-10 weeks but got it at the end of the 3rd week. Perfect fit. Fox Creek Leather is a quality leather imo.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to stick with the Fox Creek and have it custom fitted. Going with the Classic II and having body length and arms tailored, but also having the epaulets taken off the top (like the clean look better). Hopefully it won't take the full 8-10 weeks, but even if it does it'll be worth it. I really thought about going with the Langlitz, talked to the guys at the shop who were really great to talk to, but I just can't drop that kind of cash on a jacket at this time.

I would be interested to hear what makes you think that they don't build thier own. I am not sure that it matters as long as the statement that they are made in the USA is true. Just curious.

I have a jacket, vest and gloves from Fox Creek and I personally have never seen better quality.
