I've been going to Laconia for years, well I do live in NH. I have pipes on my bike and all my buddys do also, have NEVER had any problems with cops around the event. Last year opening weekend and closing weekend the weather was great, Hot and sunny. It did rain during the week a couple of days. Lincoln is a good place to stay lots of motels, cabins. anyplace along old RT 3 north of Meredith is good. If the weather holds out there's ALOT of good riding to be done.

Could it be that you are a NH resident??

When I lived in VT, north of Burlington, in the late 70s / early 80s I went to Laconia every year with the same group of guys. We always had a great time and was never hassled. Guess things have changed. Can you say Myrtle Beach?

We stay at Father in Law's place in Freedom NH. I'm heading up 1-2 weeks before and staying 1-2 weeks after this year. Going to swing a hammer and do some upkeep around the house. Gives me a great excuse to burn some miles in NH,VT and ME for a month.

Laconia is a blast. People around the area still hang out on the front lawn and wave. It is a traffic nightmare, but that can be avoided.

The cops are anti-dick. Don't be a dick, don't have an issue. I've never had an issue even when running loud pipes and apes.

Don't limit yourself to the 10 miles crawl. Get out and ride in the mountains and the rest of the area.

I've been going for years and have never had any problems with cops either. They leave you alone unless you are dangerous or asking for it is my experience.
