I'd start shopping @,there are alot of companies out there that will be a heck of alot cheaper than that. My wifes been an agent for years and even she said thats bull. Find yourself a company that you can take all your autos and home to and get a multi discount and save yourself a couple bucks.

I had Formost last year and totaled my bike (not at fault). They paid out after a week long argument. They also raised my rate from $368 to $564. So I shopped around. I also got a speeding ticket in the mean time. Found SafeCo Insurance. They gave me the same full coverage with a $250 deductable instead of $500 for $278 a year.

Its the DC area. I pay $1,300.00 year for a 2010 Ultra. I knw it is a rip but try not to think about it.
Hell WV wanted $6K a year for my vette 15 yrs ago. Guess no one in WV has insurance so those that do pay for everyone!!!
I live in VA now and people here have $$$$$ so the companies take full advantage!

I pay over 1,500 for 7 months of ride time and 12 month storage insurance. For 2 cars 2 trailes and the street glide I pay about 4,800 an year. Not tickets or accidents.

I have Progressive, and I had a wreck last year, about $10,000 to fix both vehicles, and mine is about $500 a year. Maybe they just made a mistake??

ohh and i am 55 years old with a perfect driving record and had my bike licence since i was 16..
Try $1500 for a year and that is only the plate and $500,000 liability, then another $1000 for fire and theft. They charge us for for having big cc engines here. While some kid on a 600cc rocket pays half. We all have to get our plate (cars and bikes) from the same insurance firm here in British Columbia.( A government owned corp) We can go to a private insurer for specified perils though.. but it is still $650 for specified perils on a 09 RK
