I have 14" Wild1's and love um. I also replaced the stock seat with a C&C Fastback. These pics only show the bars; sorry.

I can get the Carlini's for a few dollars less. Pm for pricing. Risers too. As far as the height of the bars, it's all a personal choice. I am 5'9" and roll 16"'s on my softail. I can ride all day with them. Cables +6" for 12"'s or maybe +8" for the 14 or 16"'s.

I had 14" Wild Ones on my '04 Road King. Very comfortable, but could have been taller.

I rode my buddy's '09 Road King with 16" Wild Ones today. I wouldn't want any lower bars than that. They look and feel good.

That said, I think the 12.5" bars on my SG are just the right height with a fairing.

It's amazing how similar in height all three bars are in relation to the seat, even though the measurements vary so much.

I'm also 5 8 and just ordered carlini gangster in 16. I think I would be fine, but one of my fear is that the gangster in 1.5 diameter has end to end width of 41", which is wider than most of the apes out there.
