bought a black helmet last year when I had a black Softail Deuce. Traded in the Duece for an 09 Ultra in Dark Blue Pearl.

What do you guys do to have your helmet repainted to match your new color of the bike. Who does that kind of thing and what do they normally charge??

 

I put this in before 1500 ESt and it shows I did this at 1718 PM today, what's going on??

Both helmets are mine and I wear them equally.....

 

How many miles on that helmet? if the dealer didn't take it on a trade in for the new blue 09 helmet, I'm not sure it's worth painting, now before you get all mad I'm kidding around. Usually painting costs almost as much if not more than a new one not to mention the time a painter may take to do it, and on top of it I have never liked the "My helmet matches my bike and/or my significant others helmet" look. But if you do ask around and when you get the quote that seems reasonable be prepared for it to take longer than he/she tells you. I have never had a painter finish on schedule....yet, but you may.

 

Found a painter who said if I buy a pint of Dark Blue Metalic paint from HD, he would paint it for $100. I like the helmet, and it cost like $500 for the helmet with the J&M speakers installed. So what's another $100k????

 

I think they are both black and your bike is not!
