I'd rather have an '09 FLTR, than a '10 FLTRX.... but then again.... I think that's why HD has 5 "families" and several models in each family.... something for (almost) everyone.

Personally, I'm glad the FLTR isn't the most popular model...... bike stands out in a crowd.... doesn't get lost is a sea of "look-alikes"

I have a Road Glide rented next week in FL, hope to put a lot of miles on it. I ride a EGC now it will be interesting to see the difference and I will make sure and bring some goggles for the bugs.

No matter what I rent when on the road I miss my highway pegs the most.

I might get one but not the set up on the 2010...It would have to be set up like the Ultra...All the gadgets allthe time....I will keep my FLHTC for at least 2 more years and see...

Already owning a 03 Super Glide,

I was looking for the best touring model so that the wife and I could both have the most comfort on long trips, (she hated riding on the FXD, to cramped),

I found the stability of the fame mounted fairing in winds and crosswinds to be the deciding factor in my choice,

Added the extras to Ultraize the bike and also added the Road Zeppelin Air Seat,

The 2010 is a nice custom looking ride, but the lowered suspension is not the ticket for my requirements,

Don't like the 2 into 1 exhaust either, not on a touring model,

As most of us know, the RG is the ugly duckling of the Harley family. What I did not like at all was the fairing. All it does is hold a stereo and direct all bugs in my face. What's up with the 1 inch windsheild? Going down the freeway on a 2-l stock muffler at 60/70 mph, forget about listening to the radio. The stock seat is extremely hard. It does corner better than my RKC, but that was the only thing that I have noticed that is "better". And so much for the theory black is faster, my RKC is much faster I don't know what you guys see in a RG,, my .02 worth
Once you fix those things you have the best bike that harley makes. So when are you getting one?

I have been trying to figure out what a RG looks like and you have hit it right on. A GOLF CART!

i had a 02 Road King and traded for an 07 Road Glide--love the road glide better handling bike.as far as fairing goes-nice xtra storage and havin a stereo is a nice addition to long hauls.you can always get a larger windshield

The "black toe nail" as you call it is fine to me below 65. Was on the highway Sat doing 80 and I think I need a neck adjustment.
