I know you can plug a MP3 player in but am curious about the CD option.
I read that you can get 10 hrs of music on a CD in MP3 format.
That would be a great alternative to the external player.
thanks
yep, I've done it, at least several hundred songs worth on one CD

yep, displays the name of the song too. you can rip from any CD and convert to MP3 with Windows Media Player, Roxio and many freeware programs.

Don't worry about the hi-jack. I have songs in itunes playlist that are protected too. Anybody have a solution?

Pretty simple really, make an ordinary music CD of the protected music files then reimport them into itunes as MP3s. Then burn your MP3s to your disk.

It has been a while but I think that is how I did it.

Tp's right...

couple things to remember..
when you rip from audio to CD, set your quality to 192 instead of 320...
the quality of the finished file will determine the file size, and the file size determines how many you get on the CD.
320 bps is close to CD quality sound file, but for most ears, a 192 bps setting is fine.. especially on a bike.

also.. burn the CD as a data disc.. at the slowest burn rate your computer will handle... makes the disc less likely to skip.

My Zumo GPS plays MP3's and I can get 1000 songs and more if placed on a SD card for use. Works great, Directions & MY music when in the mountains and can't get a radio signal.
