Time is money my friend; if you got the dough and it gets you on the road sooner; I'd go for it! Heck yeah; theres lots of stuff that I would have done if the $ wasn't an issue...
I spent roughly 600 bucks on parts, 2 idle cables, 1 brake cable, and 1 clutch cable, and of course the 16" apes. I installed it in about 4 hours but still have to bleed the front brake. Do it yourself, save the money, and learn about your bike. This forum has helped me a metric sh*t-ton and also kept some coin in my pocket. Good Luck with your install.
I think we just did a set and it was about $850.00?? Make sure you use the knurled bars, so you have as much gripon the risers as possible. With the leverage on the higher bars it can be easy to lossen them up other wise. The set we did, the first thing the customer did was try and do a pull up on them!
